Katharine Parham Malhotra is an education policy researcher and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Virginia's School of Education and Human Development. Her work leverages both quantitative and mixed methods to examine issues of equity in PK-12 education policies.

 

Previously, she worked as a federal policy analyst with the U.S. Senate Education Committee and the U.S. Department of Education. Her career in education began as a special education teacher in New Orleans.

 

She holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy from Columbia University, a Master's in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Political Science with honors from the University of South Carolina.
